Okay, I've spent a lot of time (too much) on this and although I've come across a million 2019 & 2018 crash issues I thought I would share mine since none of the other solutions work that is acceptable in my situation.

Windows 10 version: 1803 (latest update installed ) I will report back if that helps with crashing. Right now I'm trying to turn off the GPU in Premiere and use software rendering only. I'm not writing this all to complain, I'm just hoping that it can help be a piece in the puzzle, because others are obviously having the same issues. It literally crashed every other minute as I struggled to finish my last project. It is extremely frustrating though that I'm paying a monthly fee to edit with software that crashes constantly. My GPU is on the supported list and my machine is more than up to spec, so I'm not sure what the deal is. The crash is always when one of the Adobe apps is open. I thought for awhile that my GPU was going bad or that it was a hardware issue, but I run other GPU intensive apps all day (Unity Game Engine and Blender) without a hiccup. I've even gotten several Blue Screens of Death with Graphics related warnings. Sometimes the crash is just a quick flickering of the screen and then the app closes.

  • Running any app that uses the GPU while running Premiere (for example Blender).
  • opening Premiere 2018 projects that were converted to 2019.
  • It's very finicky though, and I can never land on one solution that keeps the crashing from stopping completely.

It also seems to get better if I disconnect the internet. The problem is likely a graphics card related issue.

Everything was smooth as butter until I updated to 2019 and now it seems I can't go back without the problem persisting. It's bizarre that I still see issues even when going back to Premiere 2018. Right now the most stable I can get with the Adobe apps (I use Premiere and Photoshop most) is with the latest versions 2019 and all my graphics hardware updated. Full windows Reset (personal files kept, program files wiped).Reverting to adobe 2018 apps (I still get crashing, What?).

Full uninstall of Nvidia GPU and clean installation of latest driver.Full wipe of Adobe apps using their cleaner tool and re-installation.Completely removing all Adobe Cache files. The crashing started when I "upgraded" to 2019 apps. I've tried everything but the problem continues.
